Dr. Tom R. Wielicki received Ph.D. in Management Science from the
University of Technology, Poland in 1977. He has been teaching at the
Southern Illinois University at Carbondale between 1981 and 1984, and for the
last 24 years has been a faculty member at the Craig School of Business, CSUF.
His primary area of expertise is Business Statistics, Management Science, Management Information Systems and specifically Decision Support and Expert Systems as well as international educational projects in business. Dr. Wielicki has been working as a Project Director of the Polish Business Educational Project funded by half a million dollars grant from the US State Department in the period 1993-1996.
Dr. Wielicki served as an Interim Chairman of the Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences at the Craig School of Business in AY 97-98 and was awarded the Fulbright Professorship at the Warsaw School of Economics, Poland in AY 98-99. He has been named the Executive Director of the Digital Economy Center - DEC in the Fall of 2001 and his is the Craig Faculty Fallow.
Dr. Tom R. Wielicki has published and presented over 50 journal articles and papers at numerous national and international conferences. His primary research areas of interest include:

Dr. Wielicki has been involved in number of consulting project throughout the world. His consulting record includes consulting for over 50 corporations in US, Europe and Africa. He has been credited with creating a concept and definition of the e-Village - a residential area developed specifically for full time telecommuters. His invited scholarly visits include lectures in Heidelberg University, Heidelberg, Germany, New South Wales University, Sydney, Australia, Universidad de las Americas, Puebla, Mexico and Polish Academy of Science, Warsaw, Poland.
Dr. Wielicki has a wife Anna who also works at CSUF as a system analyst in the Information Technology Services, older son Tommie (36) who graduated from the International School of Business in Warsaw and works in Poland as a Sales Executive for the Checkpoint Corporation out of New Jersey, and younger son Matt (30) who graduated with degree in molecular biology and genetics from the UC San Diego, received Master degree in Geology from the CSUF and is currently applying to Ph.D. programs in environmental science.
