Program Description

The Craig School of Business offers students a single subject business credential to teach in departmentalized classrooms typically found in middle school and senior high school settings. All students seeking a credential in business must complete the requirements for a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. This includes the general education requirements, business teacher education core requirements, and one of the various options for breadth and perspective offered in the Craig School of Business.

Preliminary Single Subject Credential

In addition to the course requirements in business, students must complete professional education courses for the business single subject credential. This consists of an additional 33 to 35 units. The preliminary single subject credential in business is obtained when the applicant has completed a bachelor's degree in business administration and completed the professional education coursework (or passes the CSET exam) including student teaching.
