Fresno, CA - In a continuing effort to expand its ability to contribute to the community through civic engagement, the Marketing and Logistics Dept. of the Craig School is looking to increase its database of local community-based organizations (CBOs) that wish to participate in the Service-Learning Program.
According to Dr. Reza Motameni, Chairman of the Marketing and Logistics Dept., “More than 100 CBOs currently are listed in our database of organizations with which our students have worked in the past. It is our intention to increase this number substantially so that not only do our students have a wider variety of organizations from which they can choose to work, but the overall impact of their efforts will reach a broader spectrum of organizations meeting community needs.”
Any 501c3 (non-profit) or community-based organization is eligible to become a participant simply by filling out the Community Partner Application Form. Following a review and approval by the program coordinator, the applying organization will be sent a Service-Learning Marketing-Related Project Proposal Form via e-mail which can be Filled out online and e-mailed back.
Once received, a one-page Organization Profile of the CBO will be developed and added to the Service-Learning Database, which can be accessed by all students, faculty, and other CBOs.
