  Educational Background

Job Description

Responsible for administrating the technical environment for administrative applications at California State University, Fresno. This includes deploying and maintaining operating systems and software on database servers, web servers, application servers and workstations. I also represent Fresno State’s technology interests amongst the other 22 CSU campuses and the office of the Chancellor.

Critical Success Factors

I have been exposed to many aspects of technology in diverse business sectors during the past several years. I credit any and all of the success that I have enjoyed over my career, to my own insatiable curiosity, my willingness to learn, taking some calculated career risks, and to the many talented mentors who have patiently tutored me.

Advice to Students

I believe in the adage “do something you love and then find a way to make money doing it”. There are so many opportunities in technology no matter where your skills and interests lie. Don’t worry about making a lot of money after graduation, focus on what you can learn from others, be humble and open minded, find your niche and pursue it with all your might.
