On November 27, 1998, the Student Investment Fund (SIF) Program of the Finance and Business Law (F&BL) Department was established to manage two portfolios. The first portfolio, “Craig Equity Fund”, consists of $100,000 of the Craig Endowment Funds, whereas the second portfolio, entitled “Bulldog Equity Fund”, includes private donations raised by the F&BL Department. The investment strategy of both funds is to invest in value- or growth-oriented stocks. The objective of the SIF is to provide a unique setting for the application of financial concepts resulting in an educational “return” as well as a monetary return. A number of benefits provided by the SIF include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. a unique educational and career opportunity for our students;
2. an opportunity to improve Craig School of Business' ties with the financial community through student
research and the use of guest speakers;
