The Institute for Developing Entrepreneurial Action (I.D.E.A.) serves as a resource center for entrepreneurs engaged in an effort to launch a new business. I.D.E.A. facilitates, supports and encourages entrepreneurship and innovation by assisting students and clients in new venture growth in the Central San Joaquin Valley of California through outreach, education and research.  I.D.E.A. offers a host of services and activities designed to assist the entrepreneur in bringing their ideas to the marketplace in a manner that will encourage long-term success and growth of the firm. 

Whether helping inventors, building a business plan, providing for training, teaching the entrepreneurs of tomorrow or collecting vital information that assists the public and private sectors, I.D.E.A. is a catalyst for promoting economic growth in the Valley.  Professor Timothy M. Stearns is the founder and director of the institute.
