University Recognition
In Spring 2007, our department completed educational training to become more aware of student engagement methods that would enhance intellectual stimulation and applied assessment in our courses.
Community Outreach
The Department of Management faculty, students and staff have partnered with the Community Food Bank! Read more and see photos of service learning projects, faculty training and research, campus food drives, and food sorts.
Entrepreneurship Program Recognition
Three out of the past five years, Entrepreneurship Magazine has named our entrepreneurship program as one of the Top 12 undergraduate programs in the country. Through support from the Lyles Center and the Coleman Foundation, undergraduate students in our entrepreneurship program are offered applied experience in building their own business ventures. Human Resource Management (HRM) Program Recognition
Our student Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter is a 12-time National Superior Merit Award recipient (1995-2006) and has won the National Top Ten Student Chapter Recognition award seven years in a row (1998-2006)! Our SHRM chapter strives to sustain this excellence by cultivating a positive learning environment for all undergraduate students interested in HRM. In addition to the accolades presented above, undergraduates in our HRM program have successfully competed in State and National competitions that assess the mastery of HR-related knowledge. In particular, our students are two-time National Champions of the SHRM-sponsored HR Games and have won State Championships numerous times HR Games Highlights:

- State Champions - 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005
Welcome New Faculty
We are fortunate to welcome the following four new faculty members to our department: In 2006, we welcomed Dr. George Vozikis as the new Edward M. Reighard Chair of Management and Dr. Jill Bradley as a new tenure-track Assistant Professor. In 2007, we welcomed Dr. Brian Lyons as a new tenure-track Assistant Professor and in spring 2008, we welcomed Dr. Bill Bommer as the newest Associate Professor in our department.
Advisory Board
In 2006, we developed a Department of Management Advisory Board with members from the local business community. The Board provides invaluable insights to ensure that our department is meeting the needs of our students, the community, and future employers
