Student Organizations:

In the Accountancy Option, students have the ability to join two student organizations to supplement their educational experience and promote their success in the major.

Both student organizations provide information to students about the profession through professional presentations at meetings and interaction with accounting professionals. Student members of both organizations also perform many community service activities.

Beta Alpha Psi (“BAP”) is an accounting honor organization which is open to students who attain specific academic achievements. The organization has continually achieved the highest national designation as a “Superior Chapter."

The student chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants ("IMA") is open to all students in the accounting option with an interest to learn about the accounting profession. The IMA chapter received national recognition “Silver Award of Excellence.” for the first time in the 2007-2008 academic year.
